Hidden away on the Southwest waterfront, The Titanic Memorial commemorates the men who sacrificed their lives during the sinking of the Titanic, allowing women and children to be saved. Designed by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, this historic memorial was funded through a nationwide campaign led by influential women, and dedicated in May 1931.
