We all knew it was happening, we all saw it coming. The conspiracy was long overdue, and now the day has come: the squirrels have taken DC! And they might just be better organized than our congress…

In this image that will be remembered as the iconic symbol of the Great Squirrel Revolution, the conspiring critters gather on Theodore Roosevelt Island to plan the overtake. We can see Teddy in the background trying to shoo them away, or might he be calling for help? But alas, it is too late.

About the artist:

Carlos Carmonamedina studied Fine Arts in Mexico and Romania. His artwork, which combines his love for travel, bicycles, food, old cameras and comics has been featured in many exhibitions around the world.

After living in Europe for 7 years, he is now settled in Washington DC, where he works as an illustrator and graphic designer.
