'The Futures' Exhibition at the Arts and Industries Building [#220]
Since 2004, the Smithsonian's Arts and Industries Building has remained mostly shuttered. Once the go-to spot on the National Mall for displays of invention and innovation, this important building opened again in 2021 with 'The Futures' exhibition. This is a present view from the north entrance of, flanked by the magnificent Kathrine Dulin Folger Rose Garden. Above the main entrance to the exhibition, Soo Sunny Park's installation "Expanded Present" greets visitors with its flickering iridescence.
