Rock Creek Park runners and commuters may notice a simple stone structure that ends on Tidal Street. It’s the Peirce Mill, the sole remainder of a once-flourishing milling industry that ran on power from the creek in the 19th century. This illustration is a nod to Heritage Day, where you can see our city’s seniors cosplay some of DC’s pioneering citizens.
