Martin Luther King Jr Library [#43]

This piece of modern architecture is an amazing sight in the center of the city. It was designed by renowned architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (it was his only library). Named in honor of the American civil rights leader, the MLK Memorial Library houses several of the library system's special collections (including the Washingtoniana one).

About the artist:

Carlos Carmonamedina studied Fine Arts in Mexico and Romania. His artwork, which combines his love for travel, bicycles, food, old cameras and comics has been featured in many exhibitions around the world.

After living in Europe for 7 years, he is now settled in Washington DC, where he works as an illustrator and graphic designer.
